Fishing Da U.P.!

June 2nd, 2014

Truly a unique year for fishing here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, icebergs still in Lake Superior & a variety of fishing opportunities that I have never seen in June.  Trout fishing is available throughout the U.P. region & some days have been quite productive.  Dry fly fishing is kind of spotty, but daily opportunities exist.  Caddis, BWO’s, Stoneflies, Sulphurs and Mahoganies have been hatching. Steelhead are available in various streams for those who are interested.  Some streams are getting higher once again from recent rains and water temps range from upper 50’s to mid 60’s.
