RIVERS NORTH UPPER PENINSULA FISHING REPORT!

Happy Bird Day :)

November 24th, 2010

Old man Winter has began to tighten is grip a bit across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Every morning signs of skim ice on lakes/some rivers has ice in the guides & fingers cold!  Time has been split up nicely lately between the river and the woods, no big bucks for me to report as of yet :)  Water temps are in the 30’s and Steelhead/Trout have began to move into their Winter lies.

Be Thankful, We live in a wonderful place.

Deers & Beers

November 14th, 2010

A great time of the year to visit the U.P., the options between fishing & Deer hunting make it seems like there just isn’t enough time in the day!  Currently Steelhead & Brown Trout fishing rates from descent to good depending upon river, this past week saw a bit stranger fishing as temps warmed & some bright sunshine was present. Some beautiful Steelhead have been present this Fall, bright fish that are the hardest fighting fish of the year. Forecast is calling for snow & colder temps-good luck to all the Deer Hunters this week!

Chrome- We Catch um & we like um.

1st snowfall

November 5th, 2010

Burr, time to break out the down coat-woke up this morning to the first snows of the season. Rivers levels across the U.P. right now range from high to low, really depends upon which river who happen to fish.  This is also true with fish numbers at this time, Steelhead, Coho & Brown Trout are present in good to fair numbers. Some high quality fish are available for those who are willing brave the elements!

Ol’ man winter is a creepn’!!!
