RIVERS NORTH UPPER PENINSULA FISHING REPORT!

Mid Summer Fishing in the UP

July 21st, 2021

This time of the summer there is no place better to be than the UP, beautiful weather & some fun days on the water. Some pretty seasonable temps as of lately across our region, we still could use some rain though. It has been a very dry year and we are below our normal precipitation which has affected some fisheries. The St Marys river has provided some great experiences for our guests this season. This is a very unique fishery that we are quite blessed to have here in the UP, one of the finest Atlantic Salmon fisheries in the world. The Trout fishing in other parts of the UP has also been quite good, fishing early mornings on the warm days is recommended as water temps are most ideal. Thank you to all of our recent guests & congrats on some remarkable fish!

Fishing the Summer Away!

July 8th, 2021

Lots of fishing options across the Upper Peninsula region right now, a great time to be out on the water. Some good rains provided relief to low water conditions on many of our streams. Trout fishing remains good on days that haven’t been to hot, most smaller streams have remained ideal temps. Some good dry fly fishing has been available at time w a variety of bugs on the menu. The St Marys river has provided some great fish as well, heavy angling pressure at times as well w the holidays. Hoping for some more rains & seasonable temps to keep the fish happy.
Thank you to all our recent guests & congrats on some remarkable fish!
