RIVERS NORTH UPPER PENINSULA FISHING REPORT!

UP Fly Fishing Report

July 31st, 2020

This will go down as one of the hottest summers ever recorded in the Upper Peninsula it feels like to me. Water temps are very high for this time of the year across the board regardless of the water body. The St Marys river has provided some great fish for our anglers this season, water temps are high there as well. Catch and release anglers should fight fish quickly and consider not fishing certain watersheds at this time until water temps drop a bit. Congrats to our recent guests, some fantastic fish & memories!

St Marys River fishing report

July 15th, 2020

Downright hot weather across the UP region this summer has the St Marys river running at above normal water temps. A variety of aquatic insects and smelt are abundant. A mixed bag of Atlantic Salmon, Steelhead, resident Rainbow Trout, Lake Whitefish and Herring are available. High angling pressure has been the norm as of lately with all the tourists venturing north, please be courteous if you are not from the area & out on the river. Congrats to our guests on some fantastic recent fish!
