Summer Fishing in Michigan’s U.P.
August 14th, 2026Mid August in the Upper Peninsula, some of the nicest weather of the year! Stable temps and a dry weather trend is upon us currently, water levels are pretty typical for this time of the season.
Most of our time has been spent Smallmouth Bass fishing as well as fishing the spring creeks for resident Brook Trout. Some night fishing opportunities have also been available which is a unique experience!
Top water action has been pretty solid for the warm water species and attractor pattern dry fly fishing has been very productive for resident Trout. We still have some excellent fishing for Trout throughout rest of August as well as September.
If you’re looking for a U.P. fishing adventure, please reach out to us! We have some fun opportunities for guided outings available from now through fall. Congrats to all of our recent guests on some remarkable fish, thanks for choosing Riversnorth to spend your time with!
