Rivers North Fishing Report

New Arrival :)

September 3rd, 2011

We would like to welcome to this world the newest member of the Rivernorth Guide Team- Audrey Elizabeth Petzke!  9 months of waiting for this little angel & finally she is here, she won’t be available for guide trips for a few years as she still has to learn how to walk & talk!  Thanks so much for all the well wishes from everyone-a very exciting time for our family :)

Currently water temps are slowly creeping down which is very nice to see after all this hot weather.  Some very much needed rain came down yesterday, until this we were in a large drought & water levels have been very poor in some areas. Brook Trout are beginning to show their true colors as they will begin to seek out spawning areas quite soon.  Some Salmon are present in limited numbers throughout different areas of the U.P., we haven’t began to fish them yet as other opportunities are better at this time.  The warm water fly fishing scene for Smallmouth continues to impress as some nice fish have been brought to hand as of lately using top water patterns as well as bait fish streamers.  Sign up now to get a good date for next Summer’s Smallmouth & Pike trips-remote water & some awesome fishing opportunities!
