Summertime?
June 27th, 2011Currently some large rain events have rivers up across the Upper Peninsula, rivers have crested and are now currently dropping. The Trout fishing scene is still going strong with ideal water temps with the cool weather we have been receiving. Some fish are rising in the high water to BWO’s, Cahills, Black Quills & a few Brown Drakes. Streamers & large nymphs are also good choices with the current water conditions. The St.Marys River system currently has a few Atlantic Salmon present as well as Steelhead & resident Rainbow Trout. Patient anglers have been rewarded with some very nice fish. Water temps remain very cold for this time of the season there-currently running at 48 degrees.
