Late Fall Fishing in Michigan’s U.P.

October 28th, 2024

Starting to feel & look like late fall here across the Upper Peninsula, not many leaves left on the trees in most areas and most mornings are on the brisk end of things. Water levels continue to be on the low side as we are in dire need of some substantial rainfall. Rivers are the lowest I can possibly remember which has impacted a few fisheries.

A variety of species have been available; Steelhead, King Salmon and Coho have been the primary target recently but the resident Trout fishing has also been pretty productive. Steelhead numbers vary widely & if we ever receive some rain their numbers will increase drastically.

Some great fish to the net recently, congrats to our guests on some remarkable work! Dates are available for late fall/winter fishing, contact us to reserve a day.
