Summer Troutn’ in da U.P.
June 18th, 2014Summer Trout fishing is going strong here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Â Some pretty good dry fly fishing has been available as of lately w a variety of insects bringing Brook and Brown Trout to the top to feed. Â Mahoganies, Quills, Caddis & Drakes have been hatching some days better than others-seems very much like a day to day emergence right now. Â Stream levels are pretty normal for this time of the season and Trout opportunities should be good for quite a while. Â Don’t forget your bug repellant when heading outside, it will be a short outing otherwise w this years crop of mosquitoes :)
