August 7th, 2011Yep, it’s the hot days of Summer here in the U.P., pretty much the warmest water temps of our whole season typically right now. Better get out & enjoy this, cold days are coming soon! Warm water is primo for top water Smallmouth Bass fishing, this is downright fun & exciting to see these fish explode on a fly! Smallmouth pull as hard as any fish I have ever encountered, one will walk away from a Smallmouth outing wondering, “Why dont I do this more often”! The U.P. offers some very remote & special opportunities for the anglers interested in this type of fishing for warm water species. It is nice relaxing way for all skill levels of fly fishers to enjoy a day on the water with friends, family or canine buddies :)
