Summer Salstice
July 4th, 2013Summer is here in the yooperland & it is a wonderful time visit this beautiful place. Many options are available for the fly rod enthusiast at this time. Atlantic Salmon are available on the St.Marys river system as well as a mixed bag of other species. The late Spring and cold water have provided for some nice drop back Spring Steelhead still, which has provided our guests with some smiles as well. Warmwater fisheries have also been fishing well, even I got lucky w a personal best 42 inch man eater of a Northern- a nice gift from above!! Resident Trout fishing had been fair, many rivers are flowing high w heavy rains. But, some Cahills have been providing some dry fishing fishing opps for those looking to hit the coldwater scene.
