June 10th, 2008The roller coaster of weather here has dry fly fishing good to non existent depending upon the day you are out on the water. Water temps are in the low 60’s and Mayfly activity has resident Trout looking up top. A few Sulphurs, lots of Caddis, a couple Brown Drakes, and BWO’s are still the key items up top. The cooler/cloudy days the BWO’s are out & the sub surface nymphing & streamer fishing has been very productive! The next couple weeks mayfly activity is going to be strong-this should be a nice long outstanding year of Trout fishing here in the U.P. with the cool weather pattern we are in. Trout fishing in the U.P.-solitude & sipping Trout. It’s worth the drive!
