Fall Fishing in the U.P.

September 18th, 2015

The feeling of fall is upon us here in the U.P..  Fishing is transitioning daily as water temps drop & days become shorter. Smallmouth Bass fishing has a shorter window during the day now as fish are most active during mid day when water temps are warmest.  The past week has been a roller coaster w the larger predators, high winds & huge weather changes made fishing both stellar on some days & terrible on others.  Salmon numbers continue to grow as both Coho & Chinook migrate into our streams from the Great Lakes.  All in all, this is a wonderful time of the year to fish the Upper Peninsula..
