Atlantic Salmon fishing on the St.Marys River is slowing down over the past week.
July 25th, 2008Mass amounts of Hex & warming water temps have fish selective & spreading out throughout the entire river system. Nymphing is still productive @ times, but be prepared to put in lots of hours for a few chances. Our focus is now mainly on the spring creeks of the U.P. for resident Brook & Brown Trout. Terrestrial activity is starting & some fun fishing is just beginning. This time of the year the Trout take full advantage of a grasshopper floating by on the surface! Also on cloudy days streamer fishing can still get some interest. Come up & enjoy some Yooper sunshine instead of traffic jams in the city!
