Trout fishing in the U.P.
May 30th, 2015Rain & lots of it…. That is the current news here in the world of fly fishing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Â Rivers are so full of water right now it resembles the peak of spring runoff, not so good for this time of the fishing season. Â Prior to the rains Trout fishing was pretty good w a variety of insects hatching- Sulphurs, BWO’s, Caddis for the most part. Â A few Steelhead are still avail in areas & warm water predators are starting to eat. Â Hoping our rains subside!
