Sweet Summer time in the U.P.!
August 8th, 2015August in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, one of my personal favorite months of the season here for so many reasons.  Warm long days & a variety of both warm and cold water fishing opportunities.  Smallmouth, Pike & Muskie fishing has offered some good opportunities here lately with both surface and subsurface flies.  Water temps range right now from 60-mid 70 degree range, this varies widely.  Small spring creeks have also been productive for those looking to chase native Brook Trout, some terrestrials as well as attractor dry flies have been working well.  The St.Marys River has some Atlantic Salmon opps as well, conditions continue to be day to day.
