Rivers North Fishing Report

True Colors

October 2nd, 2011

Heavy rains fell across much of the Upper Peninsula over the course of this past week, many rivers are running at higher than average levels with low clarity.  Currently Chinook, Coho, & Pink Salmon are available in most rivers and fish numbers vary largely.  A few very feisty Steelhead are available, numbers should increase daily as Fall progresses. Some absolutely stunning Fall colors are widely available throughout the area, it should last for another week or so. As Sept has ended, please consult your MI fishing regs as many Trout streams are now closed to angling.
