Back from Alaska in a big way, the crew this year scored some serious inches on the native Rainbow Trout front. The egg bite was on hard & the resident Trout were taking advantage of the buffet line. Props to all our anglers as most scored the largest Trout of their life, a pretty BIG deal. Whew, some relief from the last heat wave!  I have to say that I will never complain about the heat, it is much more pleasant than the polar plunge of Feb that isn’t too far off!  The warm weather brought some great fly fishing opps over the entire U.P. region, both coldwater & warmwater species where into eating.  Currently our temps have dropped & we are under a more normal weather pattern.  Many streams are seasonably low, however some rains are in the forecast which will help out.  Congrats to our anglers on some stellar fish this past week, some firsts on the fly for the crew which is a BIG deal!
