Chilly mornings in the single digits have greeted us some days here in the Upper Peninsula, but warmer than average daytime temps have us still fishing. This has been a pleasant early winter for fishing with some high quality opps. Steelhead and Lake Run Brown Trout are available in many streams across the U.P., both nymphing and streamer fishing has been productive. Most days have been small windows of eating activity with the cold water temps & lower light levels have been better than high sun. Nice work to our recent guests on some spectacular fish!

More unseasonably warm weather across the Upper Peninsula in November has provided some great fishing opportunities! It is not every often that we are blessed with such great weather this late in the fishing season. Last year fishing was essentially over with a 10 degree temps & 40 inches of snow had us hiding inside our homes. Currently some good Steelhead opps are available as ample rains have rivers in good shape w some escalated water levels. A few Coho & Lake Run Brown Trout are also available. Some remarkable sized Steelhead have been caught by our guests this fall in areas that normally do not see fish of this magnitude, congrats & nice work!
