Summer continues here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and a fun variety of fishing options are available. Water temps are warm everywhere, it has been one of the warmest summers I can remember here. Smallmouth Bass fishing has been outstanding, ideal conditions exist with topwater and subsurface being productive. Fishing on the St Marys river has been tough at times but rewarding

Summer keeps rolling on here in the UP and the warm days continue. It has definitely been one of the hottest summers on record.  Some well needed rains have blessed us recently, drought conditions were present prior to this in many areas of our region. On the St Marys River Atlantic Salmon are available, mid summer conditions exist. Inland Trout fishing has been slow on most streams other than spring fed creeks. Congrats to our guests on some downright fish on a lifetime recently!
