The heat of summer, right?!!!  Seems like someone forgot to actually turn the heat up this summer, our cold weather trend has continued all summer long!  Smallmouth bass fly fishing has provided some good fishing lately here in the Upper Peninsula.  Some areas have offered some good numbers of fish, while others seem to be much lower than normal. Both top water & subsurface patterns have been productive as you just have to feed the fish what they want.  The toothy fish have been eating as well, keep casting & set the hook hard!!  Also, our annual Alaska trips just arrived back to the lower 48-so stay tuned for some sweet pics on our next fishing report.
