RIVERS NORTH UPPER PENINSULA FISHING REPORT!

Mid Summer U.P. Fishing Report

August 7th, 2025

It has been an extremely busy summer of fishing here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, lots of variety for our guests to choose from. We have had some fantastic resident Trout fishing, some great days of spring creek fishing for both Brook and Brown Trout. Finding the cold water makes for some fun days on the water. Attractor dries, streamers and nymphs have all been productive.

Atlantic Salmon numbers on the St Mary’s River have been lower the normal this season, reduced water flows among other things have led to a lower return. Regardless our guests have found some great Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Water temps have escalated on the river so we have moved on to other species at this time.

Smallmouth Bass and Muskie fishing has been solid, water levels are low currently so a nice dose of rain would be good at this time. Both topwater and streamer fishing has been productive.

Please drop us a message or a phone call if you’re interested in getting out this season. Some wonderful fishing ahead of us, adventure awaits!
