Some spectacular weather here lately for fishing the Upper Peninsula!  Such a great variety of fishing options right now here in the U.P..  Trout streams have been fishing good for both Brook and Brown Trout.  A few hatches have spurred some surface feeding activity.  Near shore Great Lakes action has been great at times w a nice mixed bag of species.  Come up & visit, contact us for availability!

Spring fishing in the Upper Peninsula

May 13th, 2016 at 9:53 am

Spring is here in the U.P., although snows are in the forecast for this weekend!  Many fly fishing options are available currently from resident Brook and Brown Trout, Great Lakes options, late season Steelhead to warm water species.  A small amount of insect activity has had a few trout rising for small windows of time.  Being at the right place at the right time kinda situation.

U.P. Spring Fishing

May 1st, 2016 at 8:17 pm

Spring fishing season continues here in the Upper Peninsula, more seasonable weather has blessed us as of lately.  Steelhead and Trout fishing options are available at this time.  River levels had dropped quickly & a nice dose of rain brought them back to a nice level.  A few Blue Winged Olives have been hatching on sunny days, I haven’t seen any fish rising to them as of yet.  Looks like a bit of a warm up is heading our way, this should provide for more insect activity w the warming water temps.  Congrats to our guests as of lately on some great fish!
