Rivers North Fishing Report

Trout fishing in the U.P.

May 30th, 2015

Rain & lots of it…. That is the current news here in the world of fly fishing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Rivers are so full of water right now it resembles the peak of spring runoff, not so good for this time of the fishing season.  Prior to the rains Trout fishing was pretty good w a variety of insects hatching- Sulphurs, BWO’s, Caddis for the most part.  A few Steelhead are still avail in areas & warm water predators are starting to eat.  Hoping our rains subside!
