Rivers North Fishing Report

Relief!

May 10th, 2010

Finally some relief in the form of precipitation has made it to the U.P.- all be it snow, but that still helps our low water conditions!  About 4-6 inches of snow feel across the U.P. from Friday well into Saturday! Currently rivers have risen and from the looks of the forecast this wet/cool weather tend should continue for a bit.  Temps in the 50’s and rain is normal for this time of the season, not the 60-70 degree dry sunny weather we had been getting prior to this.  Resident Brook and Brown Trout fishing remains good as some fair emergences of BWO’s and Caddis have some fish looking up.  Water temps are in the mid 40’s to upper 50’s depending upon river.

Fly fishing in the U.P., ahhhhhhh-feels good!
